The Golden Knights suffered their first loss of the 2019-2020 preseason 4-1 against a hungry and energetic Colorado Avalanche side. Goals from Matt Calver, Vladislav Kamenev, Logan O'Connor and Jayson Megna solidified the Avalanches second preseason victory, with their only other win coming against the Minnesota Wild. The Golden Knights were fortunate to get themselves a consolation goal with just 18 seconds remaining in the game thanks to Patrick Brown's first-ever goal for the Knights. Calver, Kamenev and O'Connor also had debut goals for the Avalanche as this game saw both teams try out their new and young players before the regular season gets going.
The Vegas Golden Knights host the San Jose Sharks on October 2nd for the 2019-2020 NHL regular season opener.
