The UFC APEX will play host to UFC Vegas 76 on Saturday, July 1. The main event includes the No. 7 ranked UFC middleweight Sean Strickland as he welcomes Abus Magomedov to the main event spotlight.
Magomedov will serve in his first UFC main event Saturday night in just his second fight with the promotion as he will be looking to make a significant rise in the middleweight rankings.
The co-main event will be made up of No. 12 ranked UFC lightweight Damir Ismagulov as he takes on the No. 15 ranked UFC lightweight Grant Dawson.
Ismagulov, who considered retirement due to health issues, is coming off of a tough loss against the No. 8 ranked UFC lightweight Arman Tsarukyan back in December of 2022.
Dawson is coming off of a win against fellow lightweight Mark Madsen back in November of 2022.
This card is filled with fun fights from top to bottom.
Right underneath the co-main event lies a welterweight barn burner as Max “Pain” Griffin will take on surging undefeated welterweight Michael Morales. This will be Morales’ biggest test to date so there will be lots of eyeballs on this matchup come this Saturday.
One half of the Bonfim brothers will set foot in the cage this weekend as the lightweight prodigy Ismael Bonfim will be looking to make it two wins inside the UFC against the always tough Benoit Saint-Denis. Bonfim will look to keep his momentum alive as he is coming off of a vicious knockout win against Terrance McKinney at UFC 283 in January.
A big name will return to the UFC on Saturday as former title challenger Kevin Lee returns to action inside the octagon. Lee will face a rising welterweight prospect, Rinat Fakhretdinov, who is currently riding a 19-fight win streak. Fans will be eager to see how “The Motown Phenom” fairs against a young and hungry fighter in his second stint with the promotion.
UFC Fight Night: Strickland vs Magomedov is scheduled for Saturday, July 1st on ESPN+. Prelims are tipped to start at 4pm ET/ 1pm PT with the main card kicking off at 7pm ET/ 4pm PT.
