Who is the team to beat in the Eastern Conference?

           The Eastern Conference has gained some serious firepower over the last two years. Players such as Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Jrue Holiday, all made the transition to the East, just to name a few. Joel Embiid has been playing at an MVP level, while Kevin Durant has been tearing up the league in his first year back after injury         

Brooklyn Nets

       The Brooklyn Nets made some serious moves in recent memory. Only two seasons ago, they were lead by D'Angelo Russell and finished 6th in the East. Today, their team consists of Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden. When your Big Three, combine for Three Championships, Two MVP's, and 24 All-Star appearances, Offense should not be your concern

       The Brooklyn Nets have been nothing short of Lethal on offense, but could they produce on the other end and get some stops. There have been four games in which the Brooklyn Nets have scored over 130 points (Since James Harden Joined), and they have lost two of them. While their offense is one of the BEST this league has ever seen, their defense is one of the WORST this league has ever seen. This sparks concern, on whether or not this team can perform in the playoffs against big teams that are dominant on both ends of the floor

Philidelphia 76'ers

        Joel Embiid has propelled this team to the top of the Eastern Conference and proved to everyone that this team relies on Joel Embiid performing well. There have been plenty of challenges that the 76'ers organization and players have come across. They hired a new head coach in Doc Rivers, and a new President of Basketball Operations in Daryl Morey. 

           The team itself has been absolutely decimated by COVID-19, and it prevents the players to get comfortable with each other while on the floor. With shifting starting 5's and bench role players, the team has not had the chance to play with their ideal starting 5 as much as they would like. With their Ideal Starting 5 on the floor, the Philidelphia 76'ers are 13-0. They are playing well, and if the players stay healthy, the 76ers could be representing the Eastern Conference in this year's NBA Finals.
