Many rumors have been spread since the McGregor and Cowboy Cerrone UFC fight in Las Vegas last Saturday. According to CBS Sports, Tom Brady and Raiders owner Mark Davis were in conversation during the event. While Davis has specified that he was joking around about Brady fighting Manny Pacquaio at the new Allegiant Stadium, the future for Raiders quarterback Derek Carr is still unknown.
Carr has apparently has been bothered by the new quarterback rumors telling ESPN’s Paul Gutierrez “C’mon, man, when’s it going to end?”.
Although the rumor mill is scattered, the Raiders did increase their wins this season to 7-9. Fans, however, still displayed their dissatisfaction with how the team ended. After being booed when losing their final game in Oakland, Carr most likely felt the disappointment and pressure increase. Still, he is positive for the next season at the Raiders’ new home. He has stated to Gutierrez that he looks forward to “taking the first snap in that [Allegiant] stadium”.
Whether Brady relocates or a new quarterback is drafted in April at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, Carr still has a contract until 2022. Regardless of who takes the first snap, the people of Las Vegas will have the stands filled with excitement and hope for the Raiders.
