Vegas Wins 5-2 Against the Anaheim Ducks in Last Game of 2019

Entering this match against the Anaheim Ducks, the Golden Knights looked to put their 4-3 loss to the Ducks behind them and continue to maintain the 1st place spot in the Pacific Division. The first period saw the Ducks get the upper hand with a goal by Korbinian Holzer, but the Knights closed out the period with Mark Stone's 16th goal of the season and a poke in goal from Alex Tuch to mark his 6th goal of the season. The Second period saw action with just 2 minutes left in the period as Reilly Smith got his 15 goal of the season. The third period concluded with a penalty shot going in by Jonathan Marchessault to make it 4-1 while the Ducks added a consolation goal from Jakob Silferberg. The game concluded with a second goal from Jonathan Marchessault on an empty net to give him is 15th goal of the season and the Knights a 5-2 victory to end 2019.

 

This win marks the Knights 22nd win on the season and the 42nd regular season win of 2019. Vegas also seems themselves maintaining the 1st spot in the Pacific Division with 50 points.
