Kenny Mayne and UNLV

Kenny Mayne played football at Wenatchee Valley College in Wenatchee, Washington. He was named junior college All-American quarterback in 1978. After playing 2 years at UNLV, he graduated with a broadcasting degree, and then his journey began. He began locally, KLVX-TV. He started off doing weekend sports segments, before heading to Seattle. When he moved to Seattle, he began working with a local TV station, KSTW-TV and stayed there for 7 years.

By sharing that with us, he wanted to tell us that you do not go straight to ESPN after college. You do not have a high paying job waiting for you once you graduate. "Your Tenth story is always better than your second," he says. A lot of great words and this is something all of us will certainly remember.

We have nothing but questions, Ranging from the education needed to become a sports broadcaster, to what Kenny Mayne eats before a show. We wanted to know everything and anything. Kenny was kind enough to share and give us as much info as we can get, and for that...Thank you.
