Will Zion Williamson Prove the Doubters Wrong?

Zion Williamson will most likely be sidelined for 2 months after undergoing knee surgery.

2019's top draft pick will not begin the NBA regular season on October 22 as Zion Williamson underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee.

Williamson will once again have to deal with knee problems, already before he can begin his official time in the NBA. After injuring his knee on a blown shoe earlier this year while playing for Duke, the doubters of his talent began preying on his downfall. The worry is that Williamson will turn into another form of other NBA superstars like Derrick Rose and Brandon Roy, whose talents were cut back by knee injuries.

With Williamson's talent, he should be able to take advantage of the time off and reevaluate his game. The biggest challenge when he gets back will be how he is able to adapt to the NBA in the midst of the season. There have been many rookie superstars, but with that of Williamson's athletic ability and raw talent, it is challenging to find one of a full worthy comparison.
