The Pennzoil 400 will have the best NASCAR competitors racing for the winners spot on Sunday, February 23rd. This event, presented by Jiffy Lube, is held annually at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This NASCAR Cup series race consists of three stages for a total of 267 laps.
Instead of winning a trophy for demolishing the Pennzoil track, the winner receives a championship belt. Joey Logano, nicknamed "Sliced Bread", is the defending 2019 Pennzoil 400 race winner. He also won the event in a sponsored Pennzoil-Ford car.
According to lasvegashowto,”NASCAR weekend at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway has become one of the most anticipated events on the NASCAR calendar, ranking among the top-five races in both attendance and TV viewership.” Within this high-octane weekend, die hard race fans can experience daily races from NASCAR’s three premier series with the purchase of a weekend package. Tickets can be found on www.lmvms.com starting at $125 to $250. Prices vary based on seating sections. The NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series are hosted from February 20-23, 2020.
In comparison to other major professional sports, NASCAR has an average off-season of roughly three months. Reigning 2019 NASCAR Cup championship winner, Kyle Busch, began this past season on February 10 and concluded on November 17. However, the 2020 Cup season will conclude a week shorter compared to this past 2019 season. It’s safe to say there isn’t much down time for these racers.
The much anticipated Pennzoil 400 NASCAR Cup lineup has yet to be announced, but race fans won’t have to wait much longer to see their favorite riders. This upcoming race event will be heating up next weekend!
